Texas right on USC's heels in BCS standings

It's debatable whether or not Texas even wants to be the BCS #1 team going in to the Rose Bowl, but they're inching closer. After USC struggled to get by Fresno State on Saturday, trailing for the fourth time this year at halftime, several human voters moved the Horns ahead of the Trojans on their ballots. That, coupled with Texas top spot in five of the six computer rankings, has narrowed the gap in the BCS standings to the smallest of margins.

This week:

  1. USC .9807
  2. Texas .9791
  3. Penn State .8900
  4. LSU .8372
