Texas forward Lamarcus Aldridge earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors after he averaged 18.0 points, 12.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game while converting 23-of-36 (.639) field goals in Texas victories against No. 13 West Virginia (76-75), No. 18 Iowa (68-59) and Louisiana-Monroe (90-55).
Get used to this, Horns fans. Aldridge is already amazing, and he's only going to get better as the season progresses. My bold prediction of the week: By season's end, Lamarcus Aldridge will be in the national player of the year discussions and a first team All-American.
He's that good.
