While us partisans were busy hanging our heads over Texas' pathetic showing against Duke, college hoops guru Yoni Cohen looked at the game from a larger perspective, and came away with some positives for the Horns. Among the most interesting parts of the article was this bit:
Texas, however, should take solace in Connecticut's experience. In late November of 2003, the No. 1-ranked Huskies were blown out of the Preseason NIT by Georgia Tech. But rather than get down on itself, Connecticut regrouped and learned from its experience. 35 games later, the Huskies won the national championship. Their final victim? Georgia Tech.
So there you have it. Texas is going to beat Duke in the national title game.
