Aside from some occasional blocking problems, the group had a solid day. Limas Sweed has asserted himself as the conference's most dangerous wide receiver, and now has a touchdown in every game but the Ohio State contest. Jordan Shipley hauled in a 7 yard touchdown pass as well, while Cosby and Pittman combined for three catches.
The only real criticism of this group, in my mind, is that they seem to mentally slip on their blocking from time to time. When they want to be physical, and remain focused, they do a good job. Freshman Jermichael Finley had a picture perfect block on Selvin's 15 yard touchdown run, for example. Still, there are times when the group lets the offense down, and it's an area they can easily work to improve.
Other than that, it's just a matter of getting them the ball, which McCoy is getting better and better at doing. You're rarely going to see gaudy numbers from this group over the course of this season - the offense isn't going to be passing enough for that to happen - but this group has, I think, become the best in the conference at this point. Once Jermichael Finley gets going, the group will be frighteningly good.
At this point, it's just about being more consistent. For Saturday, a solid B.
