The Phog Blog, a great website dedicated to KU athletics (read: basketball), has posted some very interesting numbers from Big 12 basketball play so far.
I'll let you dig through them yourself, but the two most interesting, Texas-related facts that jump out at you are 1) the efficiency of the Texas guards and 2) how solid AJ Abrams has been as measured by non-traditional metrics.
The efficiency of Gibson and Paulino is pretty surprising, though it's a little bit misleading to simply call them efficient. Part of the reason that their points per shot totals are high is because they do a lot of standing around waiting to hoist three pointers.
The numbers for Abrams are the real surprise, to me at least. I've been reasonably impressed with him this year, but have a better appreciation for his play after perusing these numbers.
