ESPN Gameday Comes to Austin

If you buy something from an SB Nation link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

ESPN Gameday and all its crew will be here tomorrow morning for the Horns' big matchup with Kansas. UT is holding a pep rally at 8:30 AM at the Erwin Center. Rick Barnes, Augie Garrido, the UT basketball band, the UT cheerleaders, and our favorite UT Pom girls will all be on hand. Gary Clark Jr will be jamming on the guitar. Fans will also receive free donuts at 9 AM. Fan contests include a Dickie V sound a like contest and a Digger Phelps tie contest.

Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, and Andy Katz will all be at the Drum. ESPN will be doing "quick hits" from the Erwin Center from 9 - 10 AM and following that with a live hour long Gameday from 10 - 11 AM.

This is a big opportunity for UT basketball to show the country that Texas is more than just a football school. Hell, we win national championships in multiple sports. Basketball could be next. If you are in Austin, show up, be loud, where orange, and make Texas proud.

Anyone who gets a sign with Burnt Orange Nation on the air, wins a free BON t shirt. We will be watching. Get creative.
