Games of the Week Nationally

This is of course a Longhorn blog first, but at this time of the year it is great to look at the national picture as well. There are so many teams still alive for NCAA at-large selections. I won't delve into who is in and who is out by my calculations yet. I will post something along those lines later this week. We have one more week of the regular season before the Madness really starts. Here are the most intriguing games of each day.

National Games of the Week
Monday: Pittsburgh at West Virginia 6:00 PM CST ESPN
Pitt is 21-4 and a strong candidate for a #2 seed. A road win over the reeling Mountaineers could secure it. WVU has lost three of four but is still dangerous, especially at home.

Tuesday: Cincinnati at Seton Hall 7:00 PM CST
Teams are likely playing for the eighth and final Big East berth. I would be shocked if both made the tournament.

Wednesday: Watch the Horns and Aggies. 7:00 PM CST ESPN2.

Thursday: Memphis at UAB 8:30 PM CST ESPN2
UAB could punch its ticket to the Dance. Otherwise, the Tigers go undefeated in conference. A Memphis loss would severely jeopardize a #1 seed.

Saturday: North Carolina at Duke 8:00 PM CST ESPN
The best college rivalry. Duke could be going for an undefeated conference season if they get past Florida State earlier in the week. UNC is playing as well as anyone in the country.

Sunday: Florida at Kentucky 11:00 AM CST CBS
If the Wildcats lose this one, they will need to win the SEC tournament to make the NCAAs. Look out.
