Saturday's Action

Today will be college basketball at its best. I know I have said this before but this is my favorite time of the year. Hopefully, it is yours too. My advice, tune or the TV or TVs, order a pizza, put your feet up, tell the wife/girlfriend you will see her in April, sit back, and enjoy.

The Horns take on the Aggies at 1 PM CST in the Big 12 semifinals. They two split the season series but our loss in College Station cost us an outright Big 12 championship. Revenge should be on everyone's mind. I will put an open gameday thread up soon.

ACC Semis
Duke vs. Wake Forest 12:30 PM CST ESPN
The Dukies have looked vulnerable and are still searching for a third scorer. Bubble teams should be rooting hard for Duke this afternoon. Wake seems to have slipped into Cinderella's slipper nicely. They are the #12 seed in the ACC and are looking to continue an improbable run to the NCAA tournament.

North Carolina vs. Boston College 3 PM CST ESPN
UNC is playing like the best team in the ACC but BC is not far behind. BC ended any hopes Maryland still had of making the tournament with a blowout win on Friday. Tyler Hansbrough vs. Craig Smith will be fun to watch.

SEC Semis
South Carolina vs. Kentucky Already tipped
Can the Gamecocks win four in four days? I doubt it but they are playing well. Kentucky has gone from bubble team to a team no one wants to face.

LSU vs. Florida 2:15 PM CST
The more intriguing matchup of the two semifinals matches maybe the two best teams in the SEC. LSU won the conference. Florida struggled down the stretch but did win at Kentucky to end the season.

Big 10 Semis
Michigan State vs. Iowa 12:40 PM CST CBS
The Spartans are finally playing up to their potential. They have three NBA players on their roster. Iowa is tough and finished second in the Big 10.

Ohio State vs. Indiana 3:05 PM CST CBS
The Buckeyes won the conference and are rewarded with a semifinal game against the Hoosiers in Indianapolis. If Mike Davis wins the Big 10 title, will Indiana ask him to take back his resignation?

Big 12 Semis
Texas vs. Texas A&M 1 PM CST ESPN2
Horns will be looking for revenge. The uglier this game is the more likely the Aggies pull another upset. I think A&M still may need to win this game to feel comfortable tomorrow afternoon. They have only one good win this season.

Kansas vs. Nebraska 3:20 PM CST ESPN2
Kansas has too many athletes for this one to slip away. Nebraska got a good win over the Sooners last night but OU hasn't exactly been playing good basketball down the stretch.

Pac 10 Finals
California vs. UCLA 5:15 PM CST CBS Cal has cemented their NCAA berth over the last two nights. The Bears outlasted a hot Oregon squad in double OT. UCLA has been the best team all season long out west. The Bruins should take this one and could earn a #2 or #3 seed.

Big East Finals
Pittsburgh vs. Syracuse 7 PM CST ESPN For the first time in Big East tournament history, a team will win four games in four days to take the title. Syracuse has won three games by a total of four points and came from 15 points down in the second half last night. Do they have anything left? Pitt dismantled Villanova last night and won another Backyard Brawl the previous night over West Virginia. The Orange luck runs out.
