Saturday Results

Memphis 57, UAB 46
Memphis won their regular season and their conference tourney. They played a great non-conference schedule. The Tigers are likely the fourth #1 seed. Ohio State and Texas have arguments but will both probably be #2s.

Duke 78, Wake Forest 66
The Cinderella ACC run is over for the Demon Deacons. Duke was not dominating but got a great game from Greg Paulus. That bodes well for the game tomorrow and their NCAA title chances.

Iowa 53, Michigan State 48
MSU came back to earth. They are still a dangerous team when they put it all together. Iowa is tough and playing really well. The Hawkeyes have a great shot tomorrow.

South Carolina 65, Kentucky 61
The dream continues. Kentucky is probably better resting than playing four games in four days anyway. If South Carolina wins tomorrow, the Aggies can say hello to the NIT.

Texas 74, Texas A&M 70
The Aggies played much better in the second half and were led by the hot outside shooting of Carter. Jones was contained for the most part. The big difference in this one was PJ Tucker. Tucker had 26 points and 13 rebounds. He looked very much like the best player in the league. This was a physical game for all 40 minutes. I hope the Horns have enough energy left for tomorrow's battle. Daniel Gibson's health will be an issue to watch closely.
