Wide receiver is not the only position that UT is loading up on depth with. Yesterday, Mack Brown and Texas received word that Florida's top junior quarterback prospect, and one of the tops in the nation, John Brantley, will attend Texas. His commitment, while non-binding (letters of intent cannot be signed until February), is "really solid," according to Brantley. "I told [Mack] Brown, `I won't let you down.'"
For those that are interested in seeing video of the talented junior QB, Pete Lambert, who may or may not return a phone call of mine before Brantley actually signs his letter of intent, provided us with this link to his highlights. He has quick feet, a cannon of an arm, and beautiful touch.
Brantley will most certainly redshirt, but will be poised to compete for the post-Snead/McCoy era quarterback job.
