Diamond News: Men To Host Regional; Ladies Set for World Series

As expected, Texas will host a regional in the NCAA college baseball tournament this year. This marks the fifth straight year, and 35th overall, that Texas has hosted a regional.

Tournament play opens at the Disch on Friday, June 2nd. The Horns will be the second game of the day, at 3:00 p.m., playing against UT-Arlington. At 11:00 a.m., #2 seed NC State will play #3 seed Stanford.

Meanwhile, the Lady Horns will take the diamond in the NCAA Softball College World Series on Thursday, June 1st as the #3 seed in the tourney. They'll open World Series play against #6 seed Arizona State, as Cat Osterman will attempt to win her first world series.
