Vince Young wins the NFL Rookie Of The Year Award with a decisive 23 out of 50 first place votes. He finished the season 8-5 as a starter for a team that started 0-3 without him and looked completely dead in the water. His numbers, though in line with other rookie quarterbacks in history that have had prolific careers, weren't the dominant numbers we saw in college. But, as Rick Gosselin wrote yesterday, "Most NFL quarterbacks must learn how to play the position before they can win games. Young proved he could win while learning. He's going to be special."
And that pretty much says it all, doesn't it?
Congratulations to Vince Young and his teammates for the honor. I'm already looking forward to playoff football in Nashville next season.
