It's A Smaller Story, But I Know You've Been Following It

We neglected to cover the Longhorn baseball team properly while college basketball was on center stage, but we've roared to life in the last couple weeks - just in time to see Texas do its best impression of the 1998 New York Yankees.

The team takes the diamond tonight at 6:05 for one game with UT-San Antonio, the only time this year the two teams will compete. Texas is trotting out Kyle Walker (1-0, 9.00 ERA) to start, while Blake Brannon (1-3, 7.71) will take the first pitch for UTSA.

The 'Horns moved up to #7 in the latest Baseball America rankings after a week with a win over Rice and two out of three from Oklahoma. As of today, the Longhorns are on pace to set school records in batting average (.330) and slugging percentage (.522).
