Who: Tonight's special guest is Stewart Mandel of SI.com. He's got a new book coming out on the BCS, plus his "worst coaches" list just hit the interwebs. A perfect guest for this week's generalist show.
Four Questions: As always, our four questions for the night.
1. Who are the three worst coaches right now?
Does John Mackovic have a job anywhere? No? Damn.
Okay, well, there's plenty of mediocrity to go around. Starting with Hal Mumme. How far has his star fallen? Do you think Mike Leach still gets Christmas cards from the Mummes? Begging for help?
Elsewhere, I tip my hat to last year's ACC runner-up (what a conference!), Chan Gailey. And last, I'll nod in the direction of Mike Stoops, who hasn't done sh-t with his team in Arizona.
2. Which offensive or defensive scheme or playcall do you hate the most?
Fade to the corner of the end zone on third and goal.
3. Name your playoff system/preference - BRIEFLY.
I'll leave this to the professionals, but I've seen so many reasonable proposals from the likes of Brian, SMQ, and our own billyzane. Stick all those dudes in a room and let 'em figure it out. I'll sign at the bottom.
4. Who's your new crush for the season?
Orson and I are feeling a bit asexual, but don't let that stop you from telling us about the hottest new critter in your world.
For us, though, we stick to Our Rules: it's gotta be SMQ.
