Our daily countdown to the return of Texas football continues with yet another reason to love the fall in Austin.
Eddie Jones. Remember the name, Longhorn fans.
For those not familiar, Jones is Texas' redshirt freshman defensive end from the football factory of Kilgore, TX. He's listed at 6-3, 255 pounds and the reports from his spring and summer workouts were all glowing. Observers thought he looked like the most explosive player on the field at times, and with both Tim Crowder and Brian Robison gone to the NFL, Jones will get lots of opportunities in 2007.
Of all the players I'm excited to see play this year, Jones may be at the top.
