The voting is finished and it's time to present this year's College Football Blogger Awards. Where possible, last year's winner, ineligible to win this year, will be presenting the award to this year's winner. Please check in at Rocky Top Talk and EDSBS for a schedule of all the awards to be presented over the next two days.
The next award presentation - for "Best Photshop" - will be in one hour at Every Day Should Be Saturday
AWARD PRESENTATION: "THE BRADY QUINN AWARD: BEST LOOKING BLOG"
2007 RUNNER UP: Orange and Blue Hue
Where's Tim Gunn when you need him? As you can tell from BON, I haven't the foggiest about the elements of cohesive design, but all these nominees do, and especially our two winners. Orange And Blue Hue is as sleek and distinctive as the shades in its top banner, combining a simple, well-spaced layout with easy to navigate functionality. A minimalist's ideal, in many ways.
2007 WINNER: Rocky Top Talk
It can be difficult to make an SB Nation site distinctive, but Joel at Rocky Top Talk has created a Tennessee utopia with his exceptionally well-designed blog. Search functions, updating news streams, amazing use of Flash (recruiting cards, drive charts, and Blog Poll) - it's all there - but most amazing is that it doesn't feel cluttered or geeked out like a MySpace page. It's easy on the eyes, while providing everything a fan could possibly want in one place.
Congratulations to all of this year's nominees, and to our two winners.
