2007 College Football Blogger Award Presentation: Best MSM Blog

The voting is finished and it's time to present this year's College Football Blogger Awards. Where possible, last year's winner, ineligible to win this year, will be presenting the award to this year's winner. Please check in at Rocky Top Talk and EDSBS for a schedule of all the awards to be presented over the next two days.

2007 Nominees

Greg Auman

David Ching

Bruce Feldman

Spencer Hall

Stewart Mandel

2007 RUNNER UP: Bruce Feldman

Bruce is in many ways the ideal mainstream media blogger. Like other excellent bloggers, he's consistent and interesting, but as a writer for the MSM, he adds those nuggets of background information and insight that his access allows. Even more than that, Bruce is always happy to lend his time and thoughts to fellow bloggers, be they in the mainstream press or in their mama's basement. If you were to rank the reasons to subscribe to ESPN's Insider access, Feldman's blog would probably sit at the top of the list.

2007 WINNER: Spencer Hall

He became the king of college football blogging as Orson Swindle. Now, as Spencer Hall, he's (unsurprisingly) the standard bearer for those employed by the MSM. Special is the writer who can be as outrageously funny as Spencer at EDSBS and seamlessly transition over to writing for an MSM publication. But he's as funny and addictive in his new playground as he's always been in his home base.

Congratulations to all of this year's nominees, and to our two winners.
