Baseball Takes on Aggy

[Update:] The Horns jumped out to leads of 3-0 and 8-3 before giving both leads up. Chance Ruffin was solid and Austin Wood was both disastrous and magical, then the Horns put up a 3-spot in the 10th and Austin Dicharry finished it up for an 11-9 win. KSU lost to Tech 6-0, so Texas' magic number is now 2!

Winning two our of three this weekend may not guarantee a conference crown, but it will go a long way towards ensuring a national seed. Aggy's Friday starter is about as good as they come and Texas has had trouble getting to aces, so a Friday win could portend big things for the weekend, especially since Saturday and Sunday are in Austin. There's not a ton that needs to be said about this one: it's big for both sides, Texas' hitting has come alive again, and we'll be interested to see how Brandon Workman responds to being moved to the bullpen.
