Postgame Thread: Longhorns Fall Short in Pasadena

Despite a solid effort in the second half, the Texas Longhorns are not national champions. Congrats to the Alabama Crimson Tide who win the BCS National Championship Game, 37-21.

This game was changed very, very early as Colt McCoy left in the first quarter with a right shoulder injury. Sadly, he was never able to return.

Kudos to Garrett Gilbert. The kid was thrown into an impossible situation and nearly led the Longhorns all the way back from a 24-6 halftime deficit.

Texas didn't win but certainly made this 'Horn fan proud.
