The problem with the pooch punt is that you have a bunch of slow offensive lineman in pursuit

of the kick returner. Not really that good of a plan. Better to have attempted the field goal. Texas has

an excellent kicker. If they made the field goal, the game would have been totally out of reach.

If they want to continue with this strategy (Mack Brown used to like to have Colt McCoy occasionally

do the pooch punt), then they need some faster players in on the play.
