Blog Poll Week Ten Draft Ballot

New, 3 comments

Finally, there's some separation in the rankings. We've said for a few weeks that Auburn and Oregon are our 1 and 1A, so while Oregon's win over Washington was more impressive than Auburn's, we figured they're interchangeable at that #1 spot if we really do see them as equals. Hence, Auburn is #1 in our draft ballot this week. Beyond that, we were really looking forward to writing here about keeping Boise ahead of TCU this week. This same Boise team beat this same TCU team a year ago in a BCS bowl game, the argument would go. Then TCU put a whooping on a pretty good (although clearly not great) Utah team. On the road. For that the Plucky Underdog is jumped by TCU (the Wart Faced Underdog?). You saw it, we were on the PU bandwagon! But what the hell, TCU can claim the PU title as well. They're a non-AQ school with a legit shot at getting to the promised land.

Beyond that, the LSU or Oklahoma argument was answered pretty emphatically, and the Tigers are currently our king of the one-loss teams. Penn State checks into the bottom of our rankings in honor of Joe Pa's 400th win.
