[UPDATE: Texas gets four unearned runs in the 7th and 8th innings and a timely triple from Paul Montalbano to beat Texas State 6-5. Chance Ruffin pitched a scoreless inning for the save (9), lowering his ERA to 0.50. Horns-Aggies this weekend.]

Texas puts its 8-game winning streak on the line tonight against the Texas State Bobcats. Sophomore sensation Sam Stafford on the mound again for his fourth start. Stafford appeared on a short leash his first two starts but was allowed to go 4.1 innings last week, throwing a career high 78 pitches. The Bobcats are 20-10 having played stiff competition (1-5 against Rice, Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas) and giving the Longhorns all they could handle last time in a narrow 4-3 victory. Cloudy and 76 right now for those heading to UFCUDFF.
