Sophomore Sam Stafford makes his fifth start tonight looking for his first career win. Stafford threw only 28 pitches last outing, going 1+ innings while giving up 2 hits and 3 earned runs. Augie seemed to be giving Stafford a longer leash after three starts but pulled him very quickly when it appeared he was struggling to locate his pitches. Another position to watch tonight is center field. Conner Rowe earned a spot on the bench with a horrid 2 for 17 since the beginning of the Kansas series, and Tim Maitland got the start on Sunday we presume because his defense in center is an upgrade over Cohl Walla's. It'll be interesting to see if Rowe gets the start or if Augie will give Jonathan Walsh another crack at the outfield.

• With his sacrifice bunt in the first inning of the series finale against Texas A&M, Brandon Loy tied the UT career record for most sacrifice bunts with 38. Loy is tied with Tommy Nicholson (38 - 1998-2000) atop the school’s list. Loy also is tied with Nicholson and former Miami Hurricane Luis Hernandez for 15th place on the NCAA career list.
Finally, Cole Green was named Big XII Pitcher of the Week.
