Oklahoma entered the series averaging 7.5 runs per game. Through 18 innings this weekend they are yet to score. Cole Green pitched 7.2 innings on Friday and Chance Ruffin pitched the final 1.1 innings for a 2-0 shutout. For the second straight day it was a second inning base hit that gave the Horns all the offensive punch they would need, this time a 2-out 2 RBI double from Connor Rowe. With Jonathan Walsh slumping (1 hit in his last 13 ABs) this represents about as good an opportunity as Rowe will have to regain his starting spot.
Brandon Workman will be on the mound today as Texas goes for the series sweep. The game starts at 2 PM and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
