UTEP transfer Arnett Moultrie's mentor and former high school coach told Rival's Kentucky affiliate that the Miners have granted Moultrie permission to speak with Auburn, Kentucky, and Texas. Mississippi State has not yet received permission to contact Moultrie, along with Memphis. Moultrie would like to enroll for summer school, but will not be able to take visits to Kentucky or Texas until early June. Of the two schools, the Longhorns may have the edge because Moultrie is concerned about the potential for Calipari to leave the school and jump to the NBA as rumors continue to swirl linking the Kentucky coach to the unfilled coaching position for the Chicago Bulls.
