Sam Stafford, Kendall Carrillo and Hoby Milner combined for a 3-hit shutout of Prairie View A&M, and Russell Moldenhauer and Kevin Lusson added home runs in a 6-0 Texas victory. The win in the final midweek game of the year extends the Texas winning streak to 21 games and lowers the team's ERA to an even more ridiculous 2.12. This is Texas' fifth shutout in the last 21 games and was the 12th time the Horns have held an opponent under 2 earned runs in the last 21 tries.
Texas is now virtually assured of winning the Big XII crown, needing just one win in its next six conference games or one Kansas State loss in its next nine conference games to clinch. The Horns leave the state of Texas for just the second time all year this weekend for a series with those KSU Wildcats. First pitch at 6:30 PM Friday.
