In the latest edition of the SBNation BlogPoll Top 25, the LSU Tigers held on to the top spot for the eighth week in a row, with little other movement in the top 10 as every team managed a victory. The only change? Oklahoma State moving ahead of Boise State, presumably because of favorable ratings from the computers in the BCS standings, not the convincing nature of the win over Texas -- it wasn't particularly convincing.
Interesting that the voters have Clemson in front of Oregon, a move that seems to smack of the orthodoxy of having an undefeated team in front of a defeated one, something absent from my ballot. Why? Well, I think Oregon is a better team than Clemson. After all, the only Ducks loss came against the best team in the country and Clemson hasn't had to play the best team, so it makes sense that one team has suffered a defeat and the other has not, right?
Notice the absence of the Longhorns, as well, which is understandable after two straight losses and no major resume-building victories. Still the computers like Texas, right? And the voters liked Texas a couple weeks ago, so why drop the Longhorns all the way out of the poll?
Anyway, check after the jump for the official ballot and head over the mothership to check out the thoughts from Andy Hutchins.
