Mack Brown will kick of the 2011 season today with the first of his Monday press conferences at 11:00 a.m. local time. As with all of his pressers, you can watch the streaming action live on TexasSports.TV.

Many questions still remain as the 2011 Longhorns look for a redemptive showing in this upcoming campaign. One of the biggest, and most anticipated yet to be answered, is the 2-deep and -OR- depth chart. Expect a lot of discussion on this topic today, as with previous week zero pressers.

Coach Brown and the new-look staff set the table earlier this year with the program overhaul motto of Brick-by-Brick. Thematically speaking, from the initial reintroduction of players to staff to opening competition for all positions, Coach Brown should be given a ton of credit for the humility he has shown while putting the program on a chart track that is night and day from the depths of 2010.

In today's presser I don't expect Coach to discuss frivolities like in years past. I look for a business like demeanor that will set the tone on how he approaches this turnaround opportunity. As we all discussed last year, it starts at the top and Coach will be leading from behind, so to speak. Additionally, Coach has been fairly conservative to this point in his comments during fall camp and I don't see that changing in regard to specific questions about potential player performance and aptitude.

In other words, no more talk of entitlement.

I'll be back later to dissect any and all news and my take on what was said...and what was not.

This is your open thread for the press conference. Please chime in with thoughts on game week, depth chart, etc.

Buckle up your seatbelts BONizens, 2011 kicks off today.

Update: Your 2011 Texas Longhorn depth chart is officially released.  Look for a detailed analysis later today.
