It's here folks -- the Texas Longhorns donned shorts and helmets Friday for the first practice of the fall. The long nightmare otherwise as the offseason is over and there are now only 29 days until Texas takes the field at DKR for the first time in 2011 against Rice.
A few notes before the weekend begins. First of all, in a continued theme from the spring, Mack Brown will not allow the public to view the team before the September 3rd -- in other words, no open practices this August. Second, still no news of ESPN and cable/satellite providers signing distribution deals for the Longhorn Network. When that news does break, rest assured that BON will cover it.
