Texas escaped Big 12 bottom dweller Kansas with a W on Saturday. Mack Brown has made the frustrating win to a high art form.
Case McCoy led the Longhorns on a game winning drive in the final minute. Does Texas have a quarterback controversy?
Johnathan Gray went over 100 yards. Marquise Goodwin came up big on the final two scoring drives. Bergeron struggled in short yardage situations. David Ash was largely ineffective and threw 2 picks.
The defense played better, but still found a way to give up 234 yards rushing. Alex Okafor played a great game, but the defense continued to struggle with tackling. Much like entire WR corps suffering from the drops, the missed tackles epidemic has spread to even Quandre Diggs.
On to the recruiting front: Texas has lost serious momentum with 2013 Florida S Marcell Harris. Texas is still in it, but Florida is the heavy favorite.
Texas continues to aggressively recruit Contra Costa OT Desmond Harrison.
The Horns will take another WR in the 2013 class. The staff is in heavy evaluation mode. We'll take a look at some of the candidates.
Texas is still pursuing Andrew Billings and Caleb Benenoch. We'll talk timelines and the Horns' chances with both.
Winter evaluations will start in November. We should see some new names soon.
I watched Die Hard again this weekend. How can you not watch it if it's on? One of the best action movies ever made, and an underrated Holiday classic.
With that in mind, a Die Hard quote:
"Hey, what am I, a method actor? Hans, babe, put away the gun, this is radio, not television."
Start the discourse.
