Report: Jordan Hicks Not Practicing

A struggling Texas Longhorns linebacking corps will probably not benefit from the return of junior Jordan Hicks this week, according to a report from Hookem.com, which said that the leader on defense did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday ($) of this week.

Head coach Mack Brown has said in the past that players who don't practice early in the week probably won't play. It's possible that Brown could make an exception for Hicks if the trainers clear him for action, miraculously, but at this point it appears that he will miss a second straight game after injuring his hip against Ole Miss.

The buzz is not particularly positive around junior defensive tackle Brandon Moore, who reportedly has mono, and junior kicker Anthony Fera, who has not yet seen action this season. Sophomore running back Malcolm Brown was ruled out earlier in the week.

The team will release an official injury report on Friday afternoon.
