Jordan Hicks Will Miss West Virginia Game, Anthony Fera Questionable

The Texas Longhorns released their West Virginia injury report on Friday afternoon, revealing that junior linebacker Jordan Hicks, who reportedly did not practice Tuesday or Wednesday, will be out for the game, along with sophomore running back Malcolm Brown, who was declared out on Tuesday. Junior kicker Anthony Fera is listed as questionable, while junior defensive tackle Brandon Moore is probable after missing the Oklahoma State game last weekend.

Moore's presence should help the interior of the line by reducing the number of snaps everyone has to play, the absence of Hicks should compel Manny Diaz to play a base dime defense, and Fera's listing of questionable suggests Texas won't take the chance on him suffering a setback with his groin injury.

It's never really a good sign for a football team when the Friday injury report is the most highly-anticipated event of the week, but that's where the Longhorns are right now.
