Jordan Hicks "Much Closer," Malcolm Brown Questionable

The Texas Longhorns are the walking wounded right now and head coach Mack Brown provided an update on several players during his Monday press conference.

The training staff has ruled out freshman fullback Alex De La Torre and sophomore tight end Miles Onyegbule for the game against the Sooners on Saturday after both injured their ankles against West Virginia.

In regards to junior linebacker Jordan Hicks, Brown said he is "much closer" to playing this weekend and is once again listed on the depth chart as a starter. Hicks is apparently running in practice now.

As for the sophomore running back Malcolm Brown, who has missed one game after his ankle injury against Oklahoma State, the head coach said that his young ballcarrier will be evaluated on Tuesday. If Brown doesn't practice, the odds of him playing decrease significantly. Just don't look for an injury update tomorrow unless he is ruled out.

After playing last weekend, Brown said junior defensive tackle Brandon Moore and junior placekicker Anthony Fera should be good to go this weekend.
