Collegiate Baseball has come out with its 2013 preseason rankings and the Horns come in at #21 fresh off the worst season in recent memory. This ranking seems to scream "we don't know what to make of this team!" which makes a lot of sense considering the Horns may still be a year away from washing away the disastrous 2012 campaign but it's hard to believe an Augie Garrido-coached team can be kept down for two straight years. Texas could be much better than 21 if the pitching develops or the Horns could be in for another long season if it does not.

The Texas baseball schedule was recently released and the Horns will only face three ranked teams by Collegiate Baseball in #9 Stanford, #14 Oklahoma and #15 TCU. The schedule isn't a cakewalk, however, as Texas will take on a handful of teams on the "Receiving Votes" category.

Much more previewing of what should be a pesky group of Longhorns in the weeks to come. The 2013 season begins February 15th at UFCUDFF.
