Texas Commits Receive Team Assignments At The Opening

BEAVERTON, OR -- It's Saturday, which means that 7on7 play is about to begin at Nike World Headquarters. The Longhorn commits and targets received their team assignments Friday evening and will start pool play in a matter of minutes.

Quarterback Tyrone Swoopes will playing on Team Alpha Talon, coached by Terance Mathis and Donovin Darius. He'll work with USC commit Eldridge Massington (a combination many Texas fans wanted to see) and Texas A&M commit Laquvionte Gonzalez, who reportedly struggled some with his route running yesterday. Swoopes will get some help from one of the top safeties in the country in Leon McQuay.

Former commit Ricky Seals-Jones will catch passes from quarterback Christian Hackenberg, a pro-style quarterback from Virginia committed to Penn State. He'll work beside OU target Laquon Treadwell.

As they will at Texas, Jake Oliver and Jacorey Warrick will line up next to each other to catch passes from Cooper Batemen, the four-star Alabama commit from Utah.

Marcell Harris will team with Texas A&M commit and Texas campee Noel Ellis, along with Mike Mitchell on the Field Generals.

Jake Raulerson will participate along the offensive line in the full-pad drills, while Torrodney Prevot will participate with the defensive ends.
