Texas Longhorns head coach Mack Brown will meet with the media today at 11 am CST to discuss the upcoming game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Watch the press conference live at MB-TF or on the Longhorn Network.

Among topics that Brown will likely hit are important injury updates on kicker Anthony Fera (groin strain), linebacker Jordan Hicks (hip), and running back Joe Bergeron (shoulder). Texas has the depth to solider onward without Bergeron, but the steady leg of Fera has been missed and Hicks is the best linebacker and one of the leaders on defense. Missing either this week could be a significant loss for the 'Horns.

Speaking of significant, the Longhorns are now heading into the start of conference season. The team won't slide into easily with one or two of the weaker teams in the conference. Rather, Texas jumps in right away with a three-game stretch of Oklahoma State, West Virginia, and Oklahoma, which will provide some serious perspective on this team and the upside that is has. Mack Brown's group will either prove that it belongs among the nation's elite or reveal a laundry list of issues that still need to be addressed.

Other talking points will surely include how awesome Oklahoma State is and improvements made over the bye week after defensive tackle Desmond Jackson confirmed that Texas worked on tackling, run fits, and taking better angles to the football, all little things that have added up to some big disasters defensively for a unit that has underperformed compared to expectations.
