Following the tough, gritty win over the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown on Saturday night, the Texas Longhorns are once again ranked, reappearing at No. 23 in the AP Top 25 and No. 24 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
Besides the impressive six-game conference win streak that includes a win over surging Kansas State, the dominant victory over Oklahoma, and a win in the same stadium in which West Virginia defeated No. 10/No. 12 Oklahoma State, losses over the weekend from Notre Dame and Texas Tech created the space in the back end of the rankings for Texas to sneak back in for the first time since getting dropped after the BYU loss.
But, you know, the Longhorns still aren't better than the Sooners, despite beating them down in the Cotton Bowl and having just as many losses.
