Texas introduces Steve Patterson as athletic director

The Texas Longhorns will hold an 11 a.m. press conference on Thursday to introduce new athletic director Steve Patterson, whose hire from Arizona State was officially announced on Tuesday in wake of numerous media reports.

The press conference will air on the Longhorn Network and is available online at TexasSports.com.

No word yet on whether Patterson will fire anyone during his press conference.
