Texas Longhorns at Texas Tech Red Raiders

Texas wraps up their regular season today with a trip to Lubbock. The game can be seen on a number of local affiliates across Big 12 country, or on-line at WatchESPN.com.

Coach Chris Walker and the Red Raiders have had a miserable season, with only two conference wins. I am sure they wouldn't mind picking up a third today against their in state rivals from Austin. While the Longhorns won the earlier match-up, this is a game that has "trap" written all over it.

While there isn't much at stake in this game, Texas still has a decent chance of earning a number seven seed in the Big 12 tournament, meaning they would get to open the conference tournament against TCU. Should Texas lose today, it would remove any chance of passing West Virginia in the standings, meaning that Texas would play a rematch against the Raiders next week.

Ken Pomeroy predicts a 70-62 victory for Texas, and gives the Red Raiders only a 22 percent chance of victory. Still, 22 percent is slightly better than one in five, so the Longhorns better take this one seriously.
