Just call it Black Friday for the Texas Longhorns head coaching search?
Not long after Baylor Bears head coach Art Briles effectively ended speculation about his candidacy for the open Texas head coaching position, UCLA Bruins head coach Jim Mora did the same, according to multiple reports.
There was BruinReportOnline.com saying that Mora informed Texas that he is not interested in the job, Mora told the Los Angeles Times that he is "committed to being UCLA coach," and Bruce Feldman of CBS with this:
#UCLA coach Jim Mora withdrew from considerations for #Texas vacancy. Was never offered the job, per source. Mora's family loves LA set-up

A local beat writer offered a bit more perspective on the Texas job offer or lack thereof:
Texas didn't officially offer Mora its coaching job, but job was his to take, if he wanted it, according to a source close to the situation.

Reports had surfaced on Thursday that representatives from both sides had engaged in discussion about the opening.
Whatever transpired after that, the official decision from the Mora camp began to emerge on Friday morning -- he will stay in Westwood.
And so the Texas coaching search moves on down the line.
