Texas UDFA tracker: Spurned Longhorns starting to find homes

Where will the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year end up?

Ronald Martinez

After no Texas Longhorns were selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, players and agents got busy with the next step -- landing opportunities with teams as undrafted free agents.

As of Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. CT, defensive tackle Chris Whaley had signed with the Cowboys, wide receiver Mike Davis had landed with the Oakland Raiders, offensive guard Trey Hopkins had inked with the Cincinnati Bengals, and cornerback Carrington Byndom had joined the Carolina Panthers.

Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, the most surprising of the spurned Horns, was still undecided in the early moments after the draft ended and undrafted free agent signings started to happen at a breakneck pace.

Follow along as the other players find homes that may be short lived -- offensive tackle Donald Hawkins, kicker Anthony Fera, and perhaps safety Adrian Phillips.
