Texas Longhorns fall to Texas Tech Red Raiders, 48-45

Just another close home loss in a year full of them.

Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports

The Texas Longhorns fought and the Texas Longhorns battled, but ultimately couldn't overcome the nation's No. 2 scoring offense as the Texas Tech Red Raiders pulled off a wild 48-45 win in Austin on Thanksgiving Day.

Texas running back Chris Warren had a breakout day with four touchdowns and a 91-yard touchdown run. In the end, however, injuries to numerous defensive players sunk the Horns.

It was a fun game to watch and the effort level throughout the game was heartening despite the adversity and the injuries. Throw in the numbness caused by so many losses and it's hard to feel too heartbroken about this one.

If you do, though, this is your post-game commiseration thread.
