Texas takes down North Carolina on Javan Felix buzzer-beater

What a game. What a finish.

A thrilling game between the Texas Longhorns and North Carolina Tar Heels culminated with a buzzer-beating shot from senior guard Javan Felix as time expired for a 84-82 upset of the No. 3-ranked team at the Erwin Center.

Felix scored 25 points on the evening on 9-of-14 shooting, including 5-of-7 from deep and an official review upheld the final shot, as the ball left his hand only milliseconds before time expired. Wow. To say he was unconscious all night ould be an understatement, so the ball bouncing to him on the game's final play left no doubt as to the eventual outcome. As long as it came before the clock hit double zeroes.

Both teams played extremely well and the Horns got a signature win to sell to the selection committee in March and a big bolster into the conference season. The Shaka Smart era officially began tonight in a rocking Erwin Center -- his celebration says it all:

Let's celebrate, y'all.
