The offseason is a terribly boring time, but even the smallest glimpse inside an early morning Texas football practice in March can bring about untamed enthusiasm.
The Longhorns look to rebound from a 6-7 campaign in Charlie Strong's inaugural season last fall. After hauling in a very impressive recruiting class, with a few recruits getting to Austin for the start of the spring semester, Texas football has begun spring practice. That's a lot of waking up at 4 a.m., weightlifting, football drills and conditioning.
There are some fresh faces sprinkled into these spring practice videos. New coaches Jeff Traylor, Brick Haley and Jay Norvell can be seen for the first time burnt orange. A lot of Pat Moorer barking orders at his players, still looking as scary as ever. This football team clearly has a lot to prove.
The shirt on each player says it all: No more excuses. South Bend can't get here fast enough.
