The 6'6', 185-pounder initially signed with the Virginia Commonwealth Rams during the early signing period before head coach Shaka Smart left for Texas and Mack received his release from the Rams.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been trending recently with Mack and the athletic wing visited Athens for what was roughly his 10th trip to Georgia, a serious contender when he originally committed to and signed with VCU.
Since Mack doesn't have any official visits left, it's been difficult for him to schedule a trip to Texas, but there's one report that suggests he could make it to Austin this weekend before deciding. If that happens, the Longhorns would seem to be in strong shape to land his services.
247Sports analyst Jerry Meyer even switched his Crystal Ball pick to Texas from Georgia recently.
But what are the odds that Mack picks Texas without a visit? His relationship with Smart was the major factor in his original decision, but it's highly unusual for recruits in any sport to choose a school they have not visited.
So getting Mack on campus could be a major key for the Horns as Smart tries to add another perimeter player to the 2015 class.
There is not yet a specific date or time for Mack's decision.
