Game times announced for 3 Texas Longhorns contests

The early and special date television selections are now finalized for the 2015 season.

Grab your smartphone or calendar, Texas Longhorns fans, as the Big 12 Conference released the game times and television information for three more 2015 contests, including the home opener against the Rice Owls.

In addition to the season opener against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 6:30 p.m. CT on NBC, there are now three other games with the time and television network already set:

  • Rice at Texas -- The Horns will face off against the Owls at 7:00 p.m. CT on Longhorn Network to kick off the slate of games at DKR on September 12.
  • California at Texas -- The following week features the Golden Bears coming to town for a 6:30 p.m. match up on FOX.
  • Texas Tech at Texas -- The annual Thanksgiving game features the Red Raiders this season on November 26 at 6:30 p.m. on FOX Sports 1.

Select home football games and non-conference road televised games will be released when available, with all remaining Big 12 package television selections announced on a 12-day or six-day basis throughout the season.
