Texas Longhorns fans aching for the football season to begin will get a rare opportunity to watch the team practice during Fan Appreciation Day on August 9.
The events start at 9:45 a.m. with the open practice. Starting at noon when the practice ends, fans will have the chance to take pictures with BEVO XIV, Smokey the Cannon, Texas Cheer and Pom, Hook 'Em, AirHorn, and the world's largest Hook 'Em inflatable (weather permitting).
Then, from 1:30 until 3:30, head coach Charlie Strong, his assistant coaches, and players will be at the Red McCombs Red Zone signing autographs and taking pictures. Texas Athletics will take the pictures, but fans will be able to download Here's everything else a fan needs to know:
Special 18"x24" commemorative posters to be used for autographs will be provided to fans (Limit one poster per person). As a reminder, posters featuring student-athlete autographs may not be sold per NCAA rules. No outside items (including footballs, T-shirts, tickets, etc.) may be brought in for autographs. Photos with players and assistant coaches are also not permitted.
