Defending national champion Virginia is expected to have a tough time repeating as they come in at No. 13, while Florida is favored to win its first national championship. The Big 12 placed three teams in the top 25, and the state of Texas placed four.
Last fall's signing class added 12 players to a roster already filled with young talent, including several power arms that will augment a pitching staff boosted by several players returning from injury. The Longhorns will look to improve on a disappointing 2015 starting with opening day's home game against UNLV on Feb. 19.
