The Texas Longhorns official visit for Stanford Cardinal defensive tackle commit Mike Williams won't happen this weekend, as originally planned:

The timing of the visit seems mostly inconsequential at this point, as the major development in the recruitment of Williams came recently when he received his admittance into Stanford:

For a good student at a private high school, it's not that there was a great deal of doubt that Williams would get in, it's just that Stanford doesn't really make many concessions for athletes. However, that was the best hope for the Longhorns, as Williams has consistently held that Texas was his back-up plan in case something happened with Stanford, like not being able to get into school there.
So unless something else happens that would change the mind of the 6'2, 305-pounder, Williams is headed west to The Farm regardless of his free upcoming trip to Austin.
