Prior to his upcoming October 15 official visit to Texas, four-star Natchitoches Central (La.) combo guard Brandon Rachal cut his recruitment short with his commitment to LSU on Wednesday morning.
LSU now has a pair of four-star commitments in 2017, as Brandon Rachal joins forward Galen Alexander to make up their recruiting class.

The Longhorns were the perceived leader for the majority of Rachal’s commitment, but Texas recently added four-star shooting guard Jase Febres to its 2017 class, leaving only two remaining scholarships, provided reason to Rachal to remain home. Additionally, it seemed Texas may have been the trailer in his recruitment when Rachal announced last week that he would be committing on Wednesday following recent visits to LSU and Texas A&M.
Rachal ranks as the nation’s No. 5 combo guard and the No. 3 player in Louisiana.
